MANILA, Philippines- The Saint Rita College Manila Parents-Teachers Association and Alumni Association hosted a short seminar on traditional Hilot on the morning of October 11, 2014. The activity was held along with a medical-dental mission and feeding program for the benefit of community residents near the school.
ATHAG president Dr. Bibiano “Boy” Fajardo gave a brief overview of what traditional Hilot is. He also discussed how to do Hilot for common ailments. ATHAG manghihilot Yolanda Pedrigal demonstrated how to perform the actual Hilot.
Afterwards, residents who needed healing, and those who simply wanted to experience traditional Hilot availed of free Hilot sessions.
